I was fishing for catfish the other day with a live goldfish, and accidentally caught a twelve pound carp. It was sweet, and I was just wandering what else works good for big carp.

]]>www.reefari.com A couple of strikepro poppers which came out the worse for wear after a tough day Giant Trevally fishing. Just shows you the power and strength of GT’s with massive teethmarks, straightened hooks and the wire pulled through the Strikepro Poppers. GT popper fishing is truly spectacular stuff and definately tuff on your fishing gear and terminal tackle. Quality pays and recommend the best you can afford. Giant trevally can’t help themselves with that bloop bloop action of a popper or stickbait being worked across the surface. This imitates a baitfish in distress, and very visual with GT’s coming up and smashing your lure. Look out for bait schools along the edge of the reef and work your poppers and stickbaits in these areas, GT’s usually aren’t far away. Great Stuff and awesome fun!! Please subscribe for more great fishing action and news, Cheers Greg Also check out our Giant trevally webpage with more how to and info on these great sportsfish

••• Released Nov 2011 ••• This is dry fly fishing at its best. Terrestrials are land based insects – grasshoppers, beetles, Daddy Long Legs etc. Imitations of these insects are natural additions to any flybox and Morten Oeland shows why. We join him as he uses his fantastic imitations on a number of fishingtrips in Denmark, Greenland, Germany, New Zealand and Swedish Lapland. We follow him as he chooses his fly, tactic and fishing technique in every situation. The film is packed with fact and information about fishing the terrestrial. Morten is a skilled and experienced flytier. The second movie on the DVD is about the tying of the imitations he uses. He shows step by step how he ties his original, simple and highly innovative flies. This is an instructive movie, which is also full of great moments and exciting fishing situations. Morten catches lots of beautiful fish in amazing surrouding. A film of the same high standards as the previous movies in this series.
A video showing some truly amazing looking fishing lures
I see all the time how, the UK or other European countries have carp fishing right at the top. Yet, the U.S doesn’t think of carp fishing popular at all. I’ve fished for every fish before, catfish, carp, bass, panfish, walleye. And carp are the hardest fighting of any of those, yet they don’t have any respect? They’re not nasty little things that just dirty up the water, they’re my favorite sport fish! At second i would put catfish. I just don’t like it, in bass fishing you’re continuously moving throwing a lure here and there and reeling, jigging, popping. I’d rather get some dough ball with 3 rods and lay them out while I’m enjoying myself. So, why isn’t carp fishing popular in the United States?
