My fishing reel got salwater in it, and it stopped reeling well. It is a shamano. It is extremely ‘sticky’ or difficult to reel. So i was wondering if cleaning out the bearings and putting pam in it will help

I’m so stupid. I went saltwater fishing on Labor Day. Well when i came home, washed is off with tap water, but it didn’t occur to me that ealier, my fishing reel completely fell in the water.

I have a zebco fishing reel. I was reeling it in like normal and all of a sudden it stopped reeling and won’t cast properly either. I know it wasn’t tangled and I know it isn’t knotted up. Does anyone know what the problem may be? Thanks.
My boyfriend was helping an elderly lady clean out an old storage building, and while they were loading junk on his truck he stumbled across and old fishing reel. It looks sort of like an old fly reel, and it has a black and gold plate on it that says "Continental Deluxe 351" I have tried looking it up online, but I can’t find anything about it. The woman gave it to him, but he doesn’t know if it has any value and whether he should hold onto it. Any one have an idea of how old it is and if it is worth anything?
